Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass starts life right here in the USA. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and all our turf fibers are extruded and tufted in Shaw’s American factories. Advanced equipment and Lean/Six Sigma systems drive precision and durability to achieve industry-leading standards. When you plan an artificial turf installation with Southwest Greens, you can trust that you’re getting American-made grass built to last.

American Manufacturing: We manufacture through Shaw’s facilities, including our Dalton, GA plant. Shaw’s strategic investments and modern processes keep our fibers consistent and high-quality.

Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, Southwest Greens manages every step of the supply chain. That helps us deliver consistent fiber quality and uniform color and pile height across batches, quick turnaround for service requests, and complete tracking to resolve any defect efficiently.

Rigorously Tested: Before any turf arrives, it’s verified by Shaw’s laboratory and field evaluations. We test in a 13,000 sq. ft. indoor facility and 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test sites to emulate years of weather and play. Blades are tested for colorfastness, durability, and ball/athlete interactions, so your lawn or putting green looks and performs like real grass without wilting or fading.

CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

We keep evolving our turf to be true-to-life and tough. Some of our latest turf technologies include:

Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: This proprietary Bolt fiber features a patented lightning-bolt shape. It retains its shape longer than standard turf, out-performing wear standards by over 2x. Its special cross-section diffuses light to minimize glare, giving the grass a realistic, non-glossy look.

HydroChill® Cooling: We offer HydroChill® infill beads that can cool your turf by 30–50°F. This simple water-activated technology is perfect for warm-weather lawns and putting greens, keeping your lawn walkable for pets and people.

Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are crafted for quick drainage and easy cleanup. No more muddy paw prints indoors. And how our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste makes dead spots and odors a thing of the past.

Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to show off your identity? Our Creaturf™ program lets you personalize turf with logos, patterns, or custom colors. From custom logos on backyard putting greens to eye-catching pet turf, this capability lets you design without limits.

TAILORED TO YOU

We consult with designers, golf pros, and customers to ensure our artificial turf serve real-world use cases. Feedback from golfers prompted a new “spring green” color option for tee turf that creates visual harmony. Little details like this make us trusted by Augusta professionals, residents, and designers.

We also provide specialized solutions for every type of space — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.

We take fake grass installation seriously. Done right, it’s a fine art. Our synthetic turf replicates real course playability. That’s why legendary golfers like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam trust Southwest Greens. And because our connection to Shaw gives us unmatched flexibility, we can adjust fibers, infill, or pile height to your specs.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

Innovation never stops at Southwest Greens. Expect groundbreaking updates in 2026! The Shaw Sport Turf shared that fans will vote on new field designs and that a new “Game ON” turf model (made in Calhoun, GA) will launch in 2026.

This playful spirit and technology will trickle down to landscaping products soon. We can’t spill all the details yet, but rest assured, our R&D team is developing the next generation of artificial grass.

New releases will be inspired by customer feedback and cutting-edge research, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
